Books and research projects:
- Christopher Anderson (cjanders@drew.edu) collection of public addresses
given at the 1919 Methodist missionary fair held in Columbus, Ohio. The
tentative title of the book is: "Voices from the Protestant Fair: Race,
Gender and Nation at the Methodist Missionary Exposition." To be published
by Scarecrow Press (2007 or 2008).
- Ruth Brouwer (qrbrouwer@uwo.ca): "From Foreign Missions to Foreign Aid:
Canadian Churches and NGOs in Two Development Decades [1960s-70s]." My plan
is to do case studies of (a) transitions in the United Church of Canada in
terms of its overseas work, and (b) the first two decades of CUSO (Canadian
University Service Overseas). I would be interested to know of any others
who are doing research in a related area, and I would be most grateful for
any tips on books and articles related to this theme in other contexts.
